THE GOOD
KNIGHT
Proof that the smallest heroes have the biggest hearts.

THE GOOD KNIGHT is a picture book series for children aged 3–7, telling the story of Jack, a small but BIG-hearted knight who proves, time and again, that the smallest knight in the castle can be the bravest one.
Each adventure features Jack alongside his best friend Fire Pud, a dragon of considerable warmth and occasional chaos, and Princess Charlotte, a fearless princess who likes to get very involved in rescue missions (including her own).
The series is set in a lively medieval castle filled with eccentric knights led by the awesomely grumpy Sir Percy, a host of memorable villains, characters and mythical creatures!
Five complete adventures. And a quest to get more dads reading to their children at bedtime. THE GOOD KNIGHT books are written, loved by teachers and parents and looking for a publishing home. Join the Shield Wall community and be part of the journey to get Jack into bookshops, libraries and children's bookshelves!

Only 42% of parents who read to their children daily are dads, while females are purchasing between 57% to 70% of all children's books (depending on the report that you read!). Research from the University of Leeds shows that just ten minutes a day can make a measurable difference to a child’s early development and education - and dads have a very important role to play here.
THE GOOD KNIGHT was created to get more dads reading to their children at bedtime. The characters, the adventures, the humour and the sound effects have all been purposefully designed to appeal to dads and genuinely enjoy reading something to their children - especially the ROOOARS!
This is Jack's quest.
